An Eskom manager’s life is said to be under threat, he now has bodyguards and wears a bulletproof

A chief in one of Eskom's coal-discharged stations purportedly wears a tactical armor carrier and has two guardians in the wake of uncovering defilement at the said plant.

This was apparently uncovered by Eskom President Andre de Ruyter as he featured perhaps of the greatest test the power utility is looking in fighting inside criminal organizations which are adding to the nation's power emergency.

As per TimesLIVE, De Ruyter hammered the safety efforts set up at the plant which is supposed to be one of many impacted by guiltiness.

The President didn't name the supervisor yet he commended him for gaining ground against debasement which is likewise devastating the power utility.

"Coal defilement is endemic in our stockpile chains. It is a fight, it is truly precarious… There is a biological system where we work. A fish can't swim in a harmful stream except if we tidy up the stream we couldn't really expect to fix Eskom," he said.

This comes as some of informant's lives have been under danger subsequent to uncovering defilement and some have been killed.

On Tuesday, 22 November, a 28-year-old transporter was captured for purportedly redirecting an Eskom coal shipment bound for Camden Power Station to an unlawful coal yard in Middelburg. The first shipment was traded with rubble.

The suspect was driving a truck sub-contracted to gather coal from Msimbithi Coal Mineshaft in Wonderfontein close to Belfast for conveyance to Camden Power Station in Ermelo.

"It is affirmed that the transporter strayed from that course with the first coal worth around R30 000 and conveyed it to an unlawful coal yard on Bethal street in Vaalbank close to Middleburg," Lieutenant Colonel Philani Nkwalase said.

At the unlawful coal yard, the shipment was supplanted with rubble coal blended in with stones and the suspect set out for the Power Station.
